About

I'm a data scientist working at the intersection of computational methods and social science research.

I combine rigorous statistical methods with machine learning techniques to transform complex data into meaningful insights about human populations.

I'm also passionate about making data accessible and understandable. I often teach courses on data science and data visualizations, helping students develop the skills to communicate findings clearly and effectively.

I'm also an avid reader — check out the Readings section for some of my recommendations.

I live in Ames, IA with my family.
