About

I'm a data scientist with a PhD in Computational Sociology working at the intersection of computational methods and social science research.

I leverage machine learning and AI to extract meaningful insights from complex data and explore how technology shapes human behavior and societal trends. My recent work includes developing AI models for healthcare and publishing research on labor market inequalities among young people and generational differences in outlooks toward the future.

I'm also passionate about making data accessible and understandable. I teach courses on data science and data visualization, helping students develop the skills to communicate findings clearly and effectively.

I'm also an avid reader — check out the Readings section for some of my recommendations.

I live in Ames, IA with my family.
